Beep! Beep!

Just trying to get your attention...

More on Cougars

Blame E. C. Stacy's post on Jan. 22nd.

This week, Blogger Donna Volkennant at Donna's Book Pub published an interview with Linda Fisher, Publisher of Mozark Press. You might want to take a look, because Mozark has issued a call for submissions for an upcoming anthology called A Shaker of Margueritas: Cougars on the Prowl. This one follows A Shaker of Margueritas: Hot Flash Mommas. If you prefer, you can go straight to the submission guidelines. Mozark Press is a small publishing company located in central Missouri.

An Interview With Denise Dietz

Cindy Procter-King has posted an interview with Denise Dietz, an author-editor who has appeared at many Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Conferences over the years. As the Tekno Associate Editor for Five Star Mysteries, Deni has led conference critique workshops and listened to pitches, and has been the angel who guided many of us to publication.

Nathan Bransford's First Paragraph Challenge

You only have until Thursday to enter this one, so hurry on over to literary agent Nathan Bransford's blog and learn more about The 4th Sort-of-Annual Stupendously Ultimate First Paragraph Challenge.

There were only 263 entries ahead of you as of yesterday mid-afternoon.

Good luck!

Ha! You DID get my attention! Suppose he's good at filing?

Good information in this post, Pat. Thanks.

Hi Margot -- You're most welcome! And I love the burro, too.

Janet -- I think he's mostly good at begging.

And FYI -- I added the 300th entry to that first paragraph challenge. Who else got in?

Donna - You're welcome. I love good interviews and wanted to help spread the word about the fun anthology projects.

Hi E.J. -- those burros that roam the streets of Oatman, AZ are the descendants of burros used by miners when Oatman was a gold mining town.

Terry -- not fair...your deer wander around your own yard so I can't even meet that bet. And I have to go all the way to AZ to get the burros. Can I raise you three goldfinches?

Hi JuJu -- thanks for stopping by. Some bloggers will do (almost) anything for attention.

You're welcome, Nancy and Golden. Did you enter something in the Bransford first paragraph challenge?

Jan Morrison said...

oh, what a doll! I'll head over to see a few of these BUT not the first paragraph contest - I got enough to do!

Patricia Stoltey said...

The opening paragraph challenge was up to 748 entries the last time I checked, but there's still time to enter.

Hi Cheryl -- That's good! I'll have to see what other wacky photos I have in my files.
